Where Did It All Begin?
The first round featured eight SPWPL 2 teams. Livingston advanced with a 4-0 win over East Fife, while St Johnstone beat the University of Stirling 5-2. Gartcairn scored an extra-time winner against Boroughmuir Thistle, and Kilmarnock triumphed 8-7 on penalties over Dundee United.
The second round brought top-flight clubs into the mix, with 52 goals across eight fixtures.

| Hibernian vs Motherwell | 9-0 |
| Hearts vs Montrose | 7-0 |
| Aberdeen vs Kilmarnock | 3-1 |
| Celtic vs Spartans | 3-1 |

In the quarter-finals, Queen’s Park, the last SPWPL 2 team, fell 9-1 to Celtic. Hibernian edged Hearts 3-2 in an all-Edinburgh battle. Glasgow City beat Aberdeen 2-0, and Rangers defeated Partick Thistle 3-0 at Broadwood Stadium in a rematch of the previous final.
Drama in the Semi-Finals
Hibernian hosted Glasgow City at Meadowbank Stadium. Nicole Kozlova scored just before half-time, and Chloe Warrington added a stunning strike to make it 2-0. Kirsten Reilly pulled one back for Hibs, but Glasgow City advanced.
Rangers faced Celtic for the third straight semi-final. Maria McAneny scored first for Celtic, Katie Wilkinson equalized from the penalty spot, Emma Lawton restored the lead, and Poppy Pritchard doubled it from the spot. Laura Berry’s goals at the end of each half leveled the score. In extra-time, Rangers goalkeeper Jenna Fife saved Saoirse Noonan’s penalty, then two more in the shootout to secure a fourth consecutive final.
This could be the closest Sky Sports Cup final yet. Rangers seek a record-equalling fourth straight win, while Glasgow City, with just one domestic loss this season (to Rangers), aim for a seventh title.
League meetings this season have been tight: Glasgow City won in September via a late Nicole Kozlova goal, Rangers equalized late in January through Calliste Brookshire on her first start, and Rangers won 1-0 last weekend on Katie Wilkinson’s penalty.
