Premier League clubs have not hesitated to make bold changes this season, with Sean Dyche becoming the latest to depart after just 114 days in charge at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest’s position just above the relegation zone prompted the switch, confirmed via a brief statement.

Tottenham Hotspur also acted decisively, parting ways with Thomas Frank following a poor streak of domestic results. Frank exits after eight months, leaving Spurs in 16th place on the Premier League table.

A statement from Spurs noted that results and performances necessitated a change at this stage of the season.

The North London club has secured only two Premier League victories since late October and sits five points clear of the drop zone. Improvement is essential to prevent a first relegation since 1977.

Spurs and Forest join a growing list of teams hitting the panic button this season. Six permanent managers have been dismissed since the campaign began, alongside Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca, who left by mutual consent.

Nottingham Forest has now axed three permanent managers this term. Nuno Espirito Santo was the initial casualty in September, mere months after steering Forest to European qualification for the first time since 1995.

Ange Postecoglou took over but was sacked soon after, winless in eight games. His 39-day stint marks the shortest tenure for any permanent Premier League manager in history. Dyche followed as replacement but has now also departed.
